1. Policy on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We're all about embracing differences and treating everyone fairly. We believe it's important to make sure our organization includes and values the unique perspectives of all our members. Whether it's about gender, pregnancy, family status, age, race, nationality, disability, or anything else that makes us who we are, we believe that by being diverse, fair, and inclusive, we can do a better job serving our members and the awesome people working in our journal field.

2. Peer Review Policy

The journal uses a single-blind peer-review system. Reviewers submit their reports to editors, and their feedback is not made public. Each manuscript up for review is assigned to a specific Editor. If the Editor feels the manuscript is not suitable for the journal or has significant issues in presentation or language, they may suggest sending it back to the author without a full review. If the manuscript is deemed suitable, the Editor will assign at least two reviewers, interpret their feedback, and make a final decision on publication. The Editor, acting on behalf of the Editor in Chief, will inform the corresponding author about suggested revisions or reasons for rejection. Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the given period (10 days for minor revision and 20 days for major revision); otherwise, they are treated as new submissions. Formal acceptance happens only after addressing all reviewer and Editor concerns. Authors will be asked to transfer the copyright upon acceptance. Standard article publication charges (APC) apply to accepted manuscripts (Read more). Accepted manuscripts are usually published in upcoming issues of the journal provided all pre-publication steps are completed. Page proofs are sent to the corresponding author for a pre-publication check, with a quick response required. Extensive rewriting is not allowed at the proofreading stage.

3. Open Access Policy

All research articles published in Archives of Agriculture and Environmental Science (AAES) are fully open access, allowing immediate, unrestricted access for reading, downloading, and sharing. These articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC-BY-NC 4.0). More information about this license can be read here. This license permits the use, distribution, and reproduction of the content in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.

4. Plagiarism Policy

The journal Archives of Agriculture and Environmental Science has implemented a Zero Tolerance Policy on Plagiarism to maintain the integrity of scholarly work. The core components of manuscripts, including the abstract, summary, hypothesis, observations, results, conclusions, and recommendations, must be entirely free of plagiarism and are subject to strict adherence to this policy. For non-core sections such as the introduction and discussion of results, plagiarism should not exceed 10%. Authors are urged to adhere diligently to the Zero Tolerance Policy on Plagiarism and ensure the submission of original and plagiarism-free work to the journal Archives of Agriculture and Environmental Science for publication. In collaboration with the Agriculture and Environmental Science Academy, an agreement has been established with CrossRef to assign DOIs, CrossMark, and utilize plagiarism detection services through Informatics Publishing Limited, India. Submitted manuscripts undergo pre-checks for plagiarism using iThenticate© similarity index checking software to verify the originality of the content.

5. Permissions Policy

While using any external content in their manuscripts, the corresponding author holds the responsibility of securing permission from both the original author and the original publisher (i.e., the copyright owner) to reproduce or modify figures, tables, and text (in whole or in part) from prior publications. These permissions must be obtained no later than the modification stage. The original signed permissions should be clearly referenced concerning the relevant item in the manuscript submitted to Archives of Agriculture and Environmental Science. Furthermore, a statement confirming that the material is being reprinted with permission must be incorporated into the relevant figure legend or table footnote of the manuscript. Any reprinted text should be enclosed in quotation marks, and the permission statement should be included as running text or indicated parenthetically.

6. Articles Policies

6.1. Article retraction policy

AAES avoids retraction articles post-final publication unless concerns about permission, copyright, or conflict of interest arise. Retraction may occur in exceptional cases, such as legal compulsion or serious ethical breaches. Corresponding authors are notified via email, and records are retracted from AAES's online repository with a retraction notice: Retracted: paper title. Retraction from other services is not guaranteed, and DOIs become invalid. Submission elsewhere after retraction is prohibited, with potential claims against authors.

6.2. Article withdrawal policy

Articles accepted but not officially published may be withdrawn due to plagiarism, errors, copyright violations, or ethical breaches. Authors can request withdrawal before final publication, or editors may reject articles. Withdrawn content is replaced with a statement. Self-withdrawal requires a request letter to the Editor-in-Chief before the final publication.

6.3. Article correction/update policy

Authors may request minor modifications post-publication by submitting a signed request letter to the Editor-in-Chief, justifying changes. An article updating charge is applicable, and changes are subject to editorial review. Accepted modifications result in the updated article being replaced with a statement indicating corrections. In this case, if significant changes are required in the published paper, editor may contact original reviewers to re-review the manuscript. If editors and reviewer declines the changes, the changes will not be published.

6.4. Article migration/transfer policy

AAES does not allow article migration or transfer. Manuscripts submitted are intended for publication solely in AAES. Withdrawal is permitted before final publication, and submissions are accepted only through official channels.

7. Digital Preservation Policy

This journal is securely preserved for the long term within the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). All of the contents published in this journal undergo regular archiving within the PKP PN database to ensure their ongoing accessibility and integrity.

8. CrossMark Policy

CrossMark, a multi-publisher initiative, is employed by AAES to ensure readers can easily locate the latest version of published content. By displaying the CrossMark logo on each published article (HTML and PDF), AAES commits to maintaining and updating published content. Clicking on the logo provides the current status of the article and additional publication-record information. The inclusion of CrossMark enhances the authenticity of published work and provides transparency regarding any necessary corrections, which are noted within the CrossMark information.
